After being an ”irregular” fitness enthusiast for about 20 years, I began to notice how detrimental an inconsistent physical fitness plan could be, as I witnessed people close to me experiencing escalating health problems. It was a wake-up call that unless I became committed to my physical fitness, it was going to be either a “use it or lose it” scenario in terms of my overall health, mobility, energy, physical strength and flexibility as I grew older. Since I had a strong desire to remain healthy for my loved ones, I was committed to do everything within my power to be a healthy and vibrant participant in their lives and mine. To get started, I learned that I needed to scrap the cardio only routine, and instead move to a more comprehensive workout plan with the assistance of an effective personal trainer that included both cardio and strength/resistance training (and of course, a healthier eating plan)! As I began to experience the positive changes in my energy, strength, body composition and well-being, I was hooked, and I also began to have a strong desire to share what I had learned with others. After obtaining my certified personal trainer certification, I have had the joy and privilege of sharing and encouraging others to take charge of their physical fitness.
