BarNone’s Speed, Agility and Strength Training provides a road map to improve the skills and abilities of the individual athlete as well as the overall team. OUR EXPERTISE:

Our Speed & Agility Program is led by Wilson Thomas owner of BarNone Training. Wilson is a certified personal trainer and former professional athlete. His experience at both the collegiate and professional level had provided Wilson with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, in which to build a superior fitness program. BarNone is proud to offer an industry-leading and result’s-focused program that is tailored to best fit the needs of individual athletes and sports teams. 

Wilson is joined by Certified Personal Trainer Jesse Thomas III. In addition to his personal training experience, Jesse competed as a college athlete. He enjoys working with and sharing his knowledge with young athletes to further develop their skills, build confidence and maximize their ability to compete. 

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Free Team Assessment—BarNone Training Staff meets with the coaches to determine the team/athlete’s strengths and weaknesses, program scheduling options and overall training goals.
     
  • Program Proposal—BarNone Training Staff customizes a Speed & Agility Program specifically for your team. This BarNone exclusive approach is unique and specialized which we call: Personalized TEAM Training. Our staff partners with the coaching staff to determine the most beneficial program elements, schedule and cost structure to best fit the need of the team/club.
     
  • Results—Athletes will garner results based on regular program attendance. Benchmark measures will be taken before & after program completion.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Individual/Team Training—Players will work in groups to focus on specific needs identified in the initial team assessment —i.e. strength, speed, endurance, etc.
     
  • Training sessions include dynamic warm-ups with active stretching preparing muscle groups to perform specific movements.
     
  • Athletes utilize cones, parachutes, sleds, and speed ladders during field drills to encourage proper running form, development of first-step quickness and explosion.
     
  • Movement exercises are used that encompass speed and agility techniques and development of overall strength and power.  Plyometrics are included to create explosive power and quickness.
     
  • Flexibility to offer a weight room based (strength training) workout as players/teams progress with the BarNone program.
