Anna Geilman
Instructor / Personal Trainer

AnnaI have been approached by other mothers asking me how to get their bodies back in shape after having children, and now I feel like I have the ability to truly impact these women. I know how it feels to be stuck in a body that you are not comfortable with, and what it is like to feel unhealthy and unsure of the next steps to take. I think that is why so many people try fad diets, pills and exercise gimmicks out of desperation. I am highly motivated to see people achieve their personal fitness goals. Because I have been there, I know how to turn that desperation into motivation and instead of embarking on a “quick fix”, create a wellness plan based on a solid foundation of exercise and healthy eating.  And most importantly…. have fun doing it!I realized that I needed to overhaul not only my exercise routine but also learn to have a healthy relationship with food. I learned that food is fuel and that I could not let it control me.  I adopted a lifestyle of healthy eating, and I continued to broaden the range of fitness styles that I enjoyed. Today, I regularly practice a wide range of fitness regimens including: yoga, pilates, kick boxing, spinning, step aerobics, dance aerobics, sports, interval and weight training. I made it a personal goal to become developed in all aspects of fitness. This inspired me to get my own certification as a group fitness instructor through National Exercise Trainers Association, my certification as a Cardio Kickboxing instructor through Turbo Kick, and to become CPR certified. As a young adult, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to live abroad and experience wonderful culture and fabulous cuisine. However, I do not recommend potatoes and borsch as a staple diet in order to maintain good health! I returned home and realized I needed to get back in shape and lose some substantial weight. I decided to rededicate myself to getting back in shape by increasing my cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and strength.  I knew with time, dedication and a belief in myself that I would be able to improve my health and physical fitness. I was successful in this journey but after having my two beautiful children I found myself back at square one. My interest with the way the body works and how muscles move began at young age. As a child I enjoyed learning about the musculoskeletal system, and that fascination grew as I began to fit exercise and weight training into my daily routine. I realized what an impact physical fitness could have on my overall health and wellness.
